Scientology: A New Slant On Life Book Campaign Launched By Travolta, Archer And Preston - Scientology Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SCIENTOLOGY: A NEW SLANT ON LIFE
BOOK CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED BY TRAVOLTA,
ARCHER AND PRESTON

Hollywood, CA — A stellar Hollywood gala — headlined by John Travolta, Kelly Preston and Anne Archer and TV stars Jenna Elfman and Jason Beghe—has formally launched an unprecedented 18-month campaign for Scientology books.

The event, held at the film capital’s Celebrity Centre International, Saturday, June 28, also marked the nationwide release by Bridge Publications of a paperback edition of international bestselling author L. Ron Hubbard’s landmark Scientology: A New Slant on Life.

The first of eight Hubbard titles that will be released during a massive campaign—believed to be the biggest of its kind in publishing history—Scientology: A New Slant on Life provides techniques for effectively dealing with a broad range of today’s critical problems, from marital difficulties, raising children and improving relationships to the actual cause of argument and conflict.

Crediting L. Ron Hubbard’s writings for his success, John Travolta—at a private reception for book industry executives—said that “Scientology put me in the big time.”

Expressing delight with her opportunity to play a role in the history-making book project, actress Kelly Preston said, “Scientology gave me a very special gift—the ability to have a happy family. I treasure my husband, my son and my family life. It’s truly a gift.” She added, “I think that alone says more about Scientology than anything else.”

And Jenna Elfman, star of the new, upcoming fall ABC TV series “Durham and Greg,” said that “Scientology removed the lock on the door to my goals so I finally could open it and just walk through to success.”

Publication of Scientology: A New Slant on Life is being spearheaded by a milestone “Great Lies” advertising and promotional campaign, exposing popular myths and misconceptions—from “IQ can’t be raised” to “You must accept your limitations” — about who we really are and what we are truly capable of becoming and achieving. The “Great Lies” campaign is expected to reach over 300 million people a month for more than a year.

Among other Hubbard titles—embodying a wide spectrum of innovative, life-changing concepts, principles and self-improvement techniques—scheduled for publication during the campaign are: Scientology: Fundamentals of Thought, Understanding Emotions, The Hidden Cause of Conflicts, Have You Lived Before This Life? and, based on Mr. Hubbard’s writings, What Is Scientology?
